 | Hi.
I am in General Ledger and have just run my Close for Year End. Now, when I try to change the Fiscal Year, I get a message the I must first Run and Clear all batches. However, I have done this already. The batch list is empty as it should be. The version I am using is 6.1A. Any suggestions how to let the system know that the batches are cleared?
I would appreciate any help in the matter.
Sincerely,
Michelle

Are you sure that is what it says? Look again. You must clear the batch status report and the posting journals before you can change fiscal years. Remember that the close year function creates a new batch automatically.

 | Actually, yes. I did everything in the correct order....Close first and then clear posting journals and clear batch status reports. That is why my batch status report when run again shows no listings....it is cleared as it should be. My actual error message is "Incorrect Procedure. You must clear batch status report before changing fiscal year." but I have done that.

 | Just a shot in the dark but, create a GL batch. Delete the batch. Print to printer or file the batch status report and clear. If this does not work then data repair may be in order, or restore backup.
