Can you trust Exeem Lite? I got this from a Yahoo group: "Infact i was
chatting with the guys who are developing the lite version last night and
they are having probs getting that going smoothly because Cydoor is soo
wrapped up round the nodes."

Personally I think they're speaking shit because I ran Spybot and Cydoor
hasn't come back and I've tried this on 9 computers now.

cydoor is just one of its problsms - it installs more spyware which then
resinstalls itself even after removal - each time Exeem is started it just
puts it back in.

And what benefits does Exeem have?

Cydoor is the only spyware that installs without your knowledge and it won't
reinstall if you use Spybot.

3rd it offers anonymous downloading, 4th it doesn't reply on websites to
host tracking links.....

I can't get access to the website at the moment (probably overloaded) but
how can it provide anonymous downloading? Does it also provide anonymous
uploading? Is it like Freenet?

It's not anonymity that makes it different from BitTorrent (the pigopolists
could still subpoena your ISP for your name) - it's that exeem doesn't
require one central tracker that can be threatened out of existence.

At least, that's what I've gathered so far from casually reading about it
on Slashdot.

To stop it doing the reinstalling. turn off "System Restore"
after getting rid of it from the startup and the registry..

I dont know about the plus or minus of this software...

A common spyware thingy seems to be to reinstall via a registry or
something in the startup..
turning off system restore stops it doing it..

afaik...

properly eliminates Cydoor.

that i used to solve a problem that i had with some spyware.. months
ago..
i should have made that point..
