 | I just thought I would share this with you. I have been using my PC for
about 18 months now with it connected directly to the mains socket in
the wall. Two weeks ago I decided to buy an APC Back-UPS CS650, just so
I can get an extra 11 minutes of juice if darkness falls. Connected
everything up as the book says, did a quick "power-off" test just to
make sure the UPS works and all seemed well.
Yesterday, I noticed a burning smell..it was smoke coming out of the
computer power supply (not the UPS!!!) and the strange thing was that
the computer wasn't even switched on!!!
Have you guys got any comments/suggestions/possible causes??
