 | Is there any way to determine if a retail DVD is copied from public domain source material BEFORE you buy it?
What's the key, when even the retailers (resellers) don't know (or won't say) when their only concern is peddling them? I mean, have you ever gotten a reply from complaints over public domain trash? -- I haven't.
I've already learned to avoid certain names like "Goodtimes" and "Delta", but I don't care what outfit offers a title if I know I'm buying a copy produced from its authorized original master.
It's important, because while most of it is OK, I'm sick of ending-up paying for classic TV and movie titles 2 or 3 times because I couldn't tell what it was I bought until after I voided the return policy by playing the DVD.
Any seasoned advice would be appreciated.
