 | I have seen brahmins in western countries who proudly wear their religion pretty much on their sleeve and show the outside world their devout faith. I have no problems with that. Pretty much, most devout people from any religion would probably like to spread their faith if given a chance, and to try to justify the virtues of their religion vis-a-vis other religions.
However, what i find amusing is when these same brahmins wear leather jackets during winter, or have expensive leather sofas in their homes, wear sandals made of leather, and to practically use leather products conveniently wherever!
I always thought that the cow was a religious animal as per hindu faith. And, if one has to respect the cow, then, isn't it logical that one must not eat its meat neither use cow products made from its hide.
Why only extend the idealogy only to NOT eating beef or drinking cow milk? How can one say that their faith does not permit them to eat beef, but yet, use other products from the same animal? Isn't that being a little too convenient in their hindu beliefs? could some VHP/BJP party activists here, please answer this? thanks
