Former "EastEnders" star Chris Parker tells the UK's OK! magazine his
suicide attempt in November was prompted by rumors about his
uality.

Parker said he was devastated by the rumors, which he denies,
according to a report on Ananova.

"I'd had such a successful year and I felt as though it was all about
to go down the drain," he said. "I didn't want to have to face anyone
the next day or have to pick up the pieces. I just wanted an easy way
out -- it's a coward's way out, but I just wanted out."

Parker, 21, played loveable Spencer Moon in the BBC soap.
